American Planning Association Awards OZ Architecture’s Kigali Master Plan
February 18, 2009 | The Kigali Conceptual Master Plan of Rwanda’s capitol city, Kigali, in Africa was one of the two recipients of the American Planning Association Daniel Burnham Award. OZ Architecture in collaboration with EDAW, TetraTech, ERA and Engineers Without Borders, developed the master plan which was adopted by the Rwandan government in May 2008. “We are delighted that the project is getting this recognition “said Steve Brooks, Principal at OZ and Project Manager for the master plan. “The people of Rwanda have been working diligently to establish a sustainable future, while healing from a horrific past.” read more »
The Westin Verasa Hotel Wins Top Projects in the North Bay
December 15, 2008 | The new Westin Verasa Hotel is a part of the renaissance of the greater downtown Napa area. OZ Architecture was the architect of record for the project. Situated on a 4.7-acre parcel gently sloping to the Napa River, the three-story, 156,000-square-foot four-star hotel offers 180 guest rooms. The hotel opened on Sept. 18 and features craftsman-style architecture of natural wood and stone. read more »
City of Durango unveils detailed design of new transit center
February 08, 2008 | The city of Durango presented detailed renderings of the new transit center to a small group from the public Thursday. Local architect Dean Brookie, who designed the new center in collaboration with OZ Architecture, showed a crowd of about 20 people details of how the center will look.
